Tuesday May 23rd

We’re on track for opening BY June 4th with diving well work going on! ??????

Saturday May 20th
The last few days the crew has been replacing the bolts that attach the liner to the pool. This involves grinding the old bolts down and inserting new ones- all the way around the pool. The crew was out working until about midnight last night.
They also laid out the short course lane markers on the bottom on the pool.
Staff has been power washing the deck, cleaning the tables, setting out umbrellas and cutting back brush growth in the parking lot and by the party deck. A group of dedicated guards, safety monitors and office staff also power-washed the women’s bathroom three times to remove dirt and grime that swept in over the winter.
Monday May 15th
Day 5 of work the crew has laid out and welded all the long course and shallow hopefully tomorrow racing lanes and start on diving well.
Sunday May 13
Day four was a good day
Thursday May 11th
Day 3 ! The blue is the liner being laid out.
Tuesday May 9th
New liner installation is underway!
The pool liner provides protection to the concrete foundation of the pool. The liner keeps the water in the pool, prevents leaks, algae and mold growth, and provides a more comfortable experience for pool users. The previous pool liner was in place for 12 years and was removed at the end of the 2022 season.
In the pictures, the lighter gray area and black lines are the concrete bottom of the pool. The dark grey areas are the liner underlayment sections.
Operations Manager Tom Jones spent countless hours this spring and last fall repairing the pool bottom, leveling the surface patching the concrete and painting so that the liner would have the best possible surface underneath. This work, combined with the liner, will help the pool foundation last for many decades to come. The liner is expected to last between ten and fifteen years while it protects the bottom concrete foundation of the pool.
Thank you Tom and others who helped out for all your hard work making this project possible!
Liner Project Updates

What is a pool liner?

A pool liner  provides protection to the concrete foundation of the pool. The liner keeps the water in the pool, prevents leaks, algae and mold growth, and provides a more comfortable experience for pool users. The previous pool liner was in place for 12 years and was removed at the end of the 2022 season.

Pool Repair Work
Underneath the liner is the concrete floor of the pool- what other pools usually just paint. After the liner was removed in the Fall of 2022, major unexpected repairs were required to get the pool ready for the liner installation. Throughout the Fall of 2022 and Spring of 2023, Operations Manager Tom Jones, along with Manager Bill Kilkenny and others, worked to repair concrete and other parts of the the pool so it could take the liner. They chipped, sanded, repaired, filled holes, applied epoxy and other work that was beyond the scope of the pool liner installation contract. Thanks Tom, Bill and others who helped with this very important project. The pool floor will be in great shape for years (hopefully decades) to come because of your very hard work.
