All positions are seasonal, with some flexibility in the number of hours depending on positions. Employees must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends, as the pool is a 7 day a week operation.

Northwest is rich in tradition and a member owned facility of 900 families, lead by a Board of Trustees and our Operations Manager Tom Jones and Administrative Manager Nikki Brown Pyzik. The pool surface area is over 16,000 sq ft with a volume of about 650,000 gallons.

Are you a Leader? Being part of the management team requires maturity and a sincere commitment to the members of NWSC. Skills should include customer service, and leadership, knowledge of safety, pool regulations, filtration and water chemistry. Candidates should have a current Lifeguard Training certification, or willing to take a class. Other certifications are helpful. Additional spring clean up hours are available. Join a fun, well trained team of lifeguards at the best private club. Most are high school or college age, but there is a need for part-time adults to fill in when school is in session so we can continue to keep the pool open for our members. Qualified applicants would ensure the health and safety of pool participants through careful observation of the pool and surrounding areas, quick responses to emergency situations, and enforcing the pool rules. Other various duties may be assigned by the pool manager. Northwest will reimburse for required certifications, Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Training. Availability to commit to a minimum of 30 hrs/wk is preferred. Part-time positions also available. Pay begins at $13.50/hr.
Full for lifeguards right now, but we will be offering a lifeguarding class with some potential shifts in August upon certification.
Swim Lesson Instructors provide instruction for various levels of swim classes with various ages of participants. Successful instructor candidates must be 16 years old and willing to obtain Red Cross WSI Certifications. We are offering a WSI class in early June before lessons start.
Classes are throughout the summer- Monday through Saturdays in both the morning and evenings. Weekday morning classes are from 10am to 12pm, evening classes 5pm to 7pm and Saturday morning classes as well. Instructors also provide one on one private lessons. Instructor pay starts at $20.00 per hour for WSI certified instructors. Instructors must commit to either weekday, evening or weekend classes for the entire season, with subs available on a limited basis.

Swim Lesson Aides help instructors with classes. Aides must be at least 13 years of age and is a volunteer or stipend position. They should be capable of swimming at Shark level or above or have several years of swim team experience, are good with children and are interested in becoming a certified lesson instructor when old enough. Instructors must commit to either weekday, evening or weekend classes for the entire season

Under direction of the pool managers, this candidate will help in maintaining a safe environment, as well as acting as a slide monitor on Jaws and/or Fang. These duties will include enforcing all pool rules throughout the facility while adding an extra set of eyes to aid the guards in their duties. Hours are approximately 15/week with the pay starting at $10.25 per hour. Candidates must be 14 years of age. Full for 2023. Inquire in March for Summer 2024.
Under the direction of the Administrative Manger, Member Relations team members are responsible for providing friendly service at the front desk, at social events and around the pool for members. They will ensure professionalism to to pool members and guests while greeting members, taking payments, assisting with rentals, making announcements over the loudspeaker, answering phones and assisting with club special events. Various other duties may be assigned by the pool managers. Hours are approximately 12-30 hours per week with a pay range of $11.00-$14.00 per hour.
