Northwest is rich in tradition and a member owned facility of 900 families, lead by a Board of Trustees. The pool surface area is over 16,000 sq ft with a volume of about 650,000 gallons.Β Β

POSITION SUMMARY: This is a seasonal position, responsible for the operation of the concession stand at the Northwest Swim Club. The position entails preparing the location and area for day to day operation, and executing all duties to effectively prepare and sell concessions to guests, and clean/close the stand at the end of the shift.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: β Prepare basic food and drink items β Sell concession items β Provide excellent customer service to guests and interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner β Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times by operating the cash register, collecting money, and making change β Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area, cleaning during and after shift β Follow rules and regulations
PHYSICAL EFFORT: This position requires stooping and lifting, substantial standing and walking. Employees must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, handle exposure to all types of weather, have the physical ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds and communicate clearly and effectively with the public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: β Basic food preparation β Basic working knowledge of food and beverage β Basic math ability to accurately count and handle money β Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work β Positive attitude and neat appearance β Must speak and understand English β Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Swim Lesson Instructors provide instruction for various levels of swim classes with various ages of participants. Successful instructor candidates must be 16 years old and willing to obtain Red Cross WSI Certification. Check back for information on WSI certification classes at NWSC 2024.
Classes run throughout the summer- Monday through Saturdays in both the morning and evenings. Weekday morning classes are from 10am to 12pm, evening classes 5pm to 7pm and Saturday morning classes as well. Instructors may also provide one on one private lessons with the approval of NWSC management. Instructor pay starts at $20.00 per hour for WSI certified instructors. Instructors must commit to either weekday, evening or weekend classes for the entire season, with subs available on a limited basis.

Join a fun, well trained team of lifeguards at the best private club. Most are high school or college age, but there is a need for part-time adults to fill in when school is in session so we can continue to keep the pool open for our members. Qualified applicants would ensure the health and safety of pool participants through careful observation of the pool and surrounding areas, quick responses to emergency situations, and enforcing the pool rules. Other various duties may be assigned by the pool manager. Northwest will reimburse for required certifications, Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Training once minimum number of hours have been worked.Β
Under direction of the pool managers, this candidate will help in maintaining a safe environment, as well as acting as a slide monitor on Jaws and/or Fang. These duties will include enforcing all pool rules throughout the facility while adding an extra set of eyes to aid the guards in their duties.Β
