Our most prestigious position is now open for experienced leadership at Northwest Swim Club. Our next GM should be experienced in aquatics, mature, and hard working with great leadership, communication, problem solving and customer relationship skills. Keys to success are diverse talents with water quality, staffing, planning programs and creative activities, and record keeping with analysis. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent technology skills including membership software, social media, spreadsheet, simple website editing (i.e. WordPress), and group emails.
Northwest is rich in tradition and a member owned facility of 900 families, lead by a Board of Trustees and the General Manager. The pool surface area is over 16,000 sq ft with a volume of about 650,000 gallons. Most of all, over 3000 friendly, supportive member-owners anxious to meet and work with a new General Manager. We are a seasonal pool, but opportunities exist for employment throughout the other seasons.

Join a fun, well trained team of lifeguards at the best private club. Most are high school or college age, but there is a need for part-time older adults to fill in when school is in session so we can continue to keep the pool open for our members. Qualified applicants would ensure the health and safety of pool participants through careful observation of the pool and surrounding areas, quick responses to emergency situations, and enforcing the pool rules. Other various duties may be assigned by the pool manager. Northwest will reimburse for required certifications, Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Training. Availability to commit to minimum or 30 hrs/wk is preferred. Part-time positions also available. Pay ranges from $10-$13/hr
Are you a Leader? A new management position is opening to specifically focus on staff training and organization. Being part of the management team requires maturity and a sincere commitment to the members of NWSC. Skills should include customer service, and leadership, knowledge of safety, pool regulations, filtration and water chemistry. Candidate should have a current Lifeguard Training certification, or willing to immediately take a class. Other certifications are helpful. For 2021, we are specifically looking for someone certified as a Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor. Earning potential for the season is $13,000+. Additional spring clean up hours are available. We are in need of a concession manager and assistant (or team of 2) to deliver an efficient, profitable, clean food service. You will be involved in training and supervising staff, preparing food, maintaining equipment, monitoring supplies, and interacting with membership. Will help you to obtain “Person In Charge” certification from Bd of Health. Experience not necessary, but maturity is. Earning potential of up to $8500 for the season, May-early Sept
Under the direction of the Concession Manager, a successful candidate will provide excellent customer service by serving the guests at the pool in a timely and friendly manner with tasteful snacks at the concession. Person will also be responsible for Covid-safe sanitation of the concession facility and equipment. Hours are approximately 15/wk with the pay starting at $8.70/hr. Candidates must be at least 14 years of age.
Under direction of the pool managers, this candidate will help in maintaining a Covid-safe environment, as well as acting as a slide monitor on “Jaws.” These duties will include enforcing all pool rules throughout the facility while adding an extra set of eyes to aid the guards in their duties. Hours are approximately 15/week with the pay starting at $8.70/hr. Candidates must be 14 years of age.
Office workers are responsible for taking in fees, greeting members, selling memberships, providing friendly service, making announcements over the loud speaker, answering phones, and ensuring professionalism to other staff and to pool members. Various other duties may be assigned by the pool manager. Hourly pay ranges from $9-$11.
Provide instruction for various levels of swim classes with various ages of participants. Successful instructor candidates should hold Red Cross WSI Certifications. Classes meet weekdays 10:30am-noon, and 6:30-7:15pm for 2 weeks/session. There are 4 sessions/summer. Instructor pay is up to $18.75/hr.
Swim Aides help instructors with their classes. Aides must be at least 13 years of age and is a volunteer position. They should be capable of swimming at Shark level or above.
